The sewing machine is a practical invention that had done a revolution in the confection clothes ambit.
In the ancient times people had just known what is sew, but not with a machine. They needed clothes to occult their intimate parts of the body and for haven't got cold in winter. For that, they needed to use the hand sewing that has more than 20.000 years old.
After, all the materials proceed of the animals. The first sewing needles were made of bones or animal corns and the first threw was made of animal sinew. Then, began to appear different types of needles as iron needles or eyed needles.
In 1755 was when the German, Charles Weisnthal invented the first mechanised needle but still not a machine. The first sewing machine was invented in 1789 by the Englishman Thomas Saint. Since then, many other inventors wanted to create a better machine and also of other type or other system. For example, Balthasar Krems invented a machine to sew only caps, the Scout John Ducan's used more than one needle, etc.

There are also people that consider the inventor could was Barthelemy Thimonnier in 1830 because his machine was the first functional. He was the first man that put them in the market and the director of the first factory of clothes.
But the first modern sewing machine and that has all the necessary elements was, probably, in 1844 and it was invented by John Fisher, but he hadn't got luck in his business.
And finally, less time before Fisher, appeared the most famous inventors: Elias Howe and Isaac Singer. In 1844, Howe ended his first machine and tried to commercialised them. He hadn't got exit because the world wasn't prepared to mechanise the sewing. He tried to popularise them but he broke and ended ruined.
Singer didn't include an advance in the machines, he stole the design of Howe and sold the machines in The United States. He obtained the exit and the fame that the others couldn't.
Many things happened until the business of Singer and Howe had ended as multimillionaires.
Now the machines have changed and have evolutioned a lot and their system is easier than the Singer's or Howe's.
